Fleet Services

We are located directly opposite the Arnos Court Hotel on the A4 in Brislington. Please drive through the large stone archway as photo (map)


If you are visiting the site other than for a MOT test, please park your vehicle in the visitors car park, which is located on the upper level of the site, accessed from Sandy Park Road, and then report to the Fleet Services Reception, which is down the steps, to the lower level.

Did you know that as a member of the public you can get your car MOT'd by Bristol City Council?


Fleet Services can test all types of transport from mopeds, motorcycles, cars, vans, motorhomes and minibuses. See MOT testing section for details.



Fleet Services also provides a service to all Council departments for both the management and maintenance of Council vehicles including:

 

  • Procurement of Fleet
  • Registration and Licencing
  • Insurance Claim Processing
  • Guidance of Vehicle Specification
  • Fuel and Tyres


We also provide a full range of vehicle maintenance services in our workshops.


Our services are also available to other charitable and voluntary sector organisations.

Vehicle hire

Extensive well maintained pool fleet of vehicles available to hire - for Council, schools, and public or voluntary sector organisations. If we don’t have what you need in house we can get it for you from our approved contractors. Ideal for group trips and long journeys.

Hiring a vehicle from Fleet Services automatically includes Council insurance, and ensures that the vehicle is safe and well serviced.

Maintenance and services

In the Fleet workshops in Brislington we maintain the entire Council fleet. Other charitable and voluntary organisations can use these services. A one stop shop, for all your needs, including:

MOT Testing

We carry out MOT tests to Hackney and Private Hire Vehicles and also for members of the public. This includes motorcycles, cars, minibuses and motor homes/camper vans. The MOT inspection does not include repairs, but this means you can be sure of an objective test. Please see Money Saving website.

Driver training

Fleet Services are able to give driver training for vehicles that have a digital tachograph fitted. Many new vehicles use this technology, to record driving hours and speed.

Minibus Permits (Permit 19)

Holding a permit 19 allows you to use minibuses (with 9-16 seats) for specific community activities. For example schools using a minibus for trips should have one. We are authorised for the issue of minibus permits.
