These are our courses for leisure and personal development, for adults across Bristol, starting throughout the year from September 2008.

Buy ‘A Gift of Course’ voucher towards the fees for a course run by the Adult Learning Service.

In £10, £20 or £50 denominations, (or any higher amount) the voucher can be redeemed against the cost of any course, delivered at any venue across Bristol. The voucher comes in a range of attractive cards with details of how to enrol on a course of the recipient’s choice.

Arts and Crafts, Music and Dance

Watercolours, oils and acrylics, life drawing, textiles, patchwork and quilting, embroidery, upholstery, cushions, curtains and covers, jewellery, stained glass, pottery, photography and interior design. Afro-Samba and Arabic dance, line dancing, recorders and singing.
 
 

Languages

Courses at all levels in French, Spanish, Italian, German, Portuguese, Swahili and Arabic. Cultural days and cooking and films in foreign languages
 
 

Computers

For absolute beginners and more advanced learners. A chance to learn new skills, without the pressure of exams, including buying your first computer to internet, image manipulation, web design, ipods and MP3 players.
 
 

DIY, Construction and Gardening

Learn the skills to work on your own home, including bricklaying, plastering, plumbing, electrical wiring, and simple DIY. Also gardening and garden design.
 
 

Wellbeing

Enhance your life and wellbeing with a course in massage, Tai chi, Yoga, Keep Fit, healthy and indulgent cookery, and wine tasting.
 
 

Concessions

There are concessions for learners on income related benefits.
