What services do we provide?

We have fully integrated pest management procedures to cover the broad range of insects, birds and mammals that are likely to invade your environment. All our work is carried out with regard to health & safety and the protection of non-target animals.

Pesticides, traps, and preventative measures are used by professionally trained and experienced staff to ensure that your infestations are identified and remedied as quickly and humanely as possible. We will also provide you with information on the best methods to prevent the pests from returning. Our service is registered with two National Pest Control Professional Associations and we are supported by a national Pest Control Company who supply our pesticides, equipment and provide us with technical support and advice.

Pests in our environment
We all share the world and our environment with many other creatures. Those that may be harmful to us, or breed in such numbers as to become a nuisance by infesting our living and working spaces, are seen as pests. Control will be required using pesticides to remove them; other pests may only require the adaptation of structures or living habits to deter them.

Domestic premises
We provide a full range of pest control services (some of which are chargeable) throughout the city to domestic households. As a Public Health pest rats are treated free, with mice being treated for a nominal charge. There is a scale of charges for all other pests.

Commercial premises
A full pest control service can be provided to all commercial premises either as an individual treatment or on a contract basis. An agreement can be provided for treatments against pest infestations on a regular monthly contract. All contracts are reassessed periodically to ensure that they are still fit for purpose.

Wildlife management
We can offer surveys and assessments of  which pests have infested your environment, the control of these pests that are active in your environment and actively deterring other pests from entering your environment.

Bird proofing and control
The only certain way to prevent birds from becoming a pest at your premises is to proof it. For further advice please contact 0117 922 2500.

Insect proofing
A wide range of modern and effective Electronic Fly Killers (EFKs) are available for supply including a servicing schedule to maintain these machines. We can also provide an extensive range of insect proofing to prevent infestations entering premises.

Insect identification
If you have any concerns with insects found in your premises, we can offer a free service to identify them and recommend any treatment that may be necessary. A sample of the insects securely packed with some history and your contact details, is all that is required.

Samples of pests can be delivered or sent to your nearest Customer Service Point.

Cleansing and clearance

After an infestation of rodents or birds in confined spaces such as attics, sheds or garages has been eliminated, the creatures can leave behind fouling and body wastes that can harbour insects and other micro-organisms that can be severely harmful to human health. We can provide a treatment to deal with these issues with biocides and insecticides to ensure the area is safe for human occupation.

Professional reports
We can provide professional reports to advise on survey and identification of pests, hygiene issues and the proofing of buildings.

Advisory service
Advice is available on all pest related issues when a contract is undertaken. Domestic residents can gain free advice at all times.

Service contracts

Once we have identified the problem or the risk has been fully assessed, as part of our Integrated Pest Management (IPM) approach we will provide advice, or for commercial premises a maintenance programme to ensure that infestations are prevented wherever possible from returning. The programme will be one that ensures protection against pests and also one that is financially agreeable to the customer.
