Introduction
An attractive medium sized Victorian park in a quiet area of north Bristol, and a focus for a major national tree planting project.
Access
There are five gated entrances, each wide enough for wheelchairs and double buggies. The park is flat with many paths, though access is difficult around the pond and sunken rose garden. Click here to view a GIS map of the site.

Art and architecture
There is a Grade 2 listed Victorian drinking fountain which was restored in the mid 1990s with renewed lead lettering though this was later vandalised. The water supply has since been turned off.
Buildings
The park has a bowls pavilion and football changing rooms.
Community, clubs and associations
There is currently no user group but it is hoped to set up a group in the near future. If you are interested in participating, please contact Bristol Parks on the contact details below. Click here for more information on getting involved in your local park or green space.
Developments
It is hoped to develop the old public toilets in the park as a refreshment room in the manner of a similar conversion which has recently been successfully carried out at The Downs.
History
Canford Park was opened as a municipal park 1874 with land bought from Rev H.A. Daniel by Clifton Urban Sanitary Society. The park was absorbed into the city by the corporation in 1904.
