Introduction
This is one of the city’s classic Victorian neighbourhood parks, laid out at the same time as the prosperous housing development around it.
Access
St. Andrews Park is open all year round, 365 days of the year. Access is from Sommerville Road, Effingham Road and Maurice Road, St Andrews.

Developments
Bristol City Council has received funding from the Department for Children, Schools and Families to improve the play area in St Andrews Park. Please take a look at the proposals for the improvements below:

Other aspirations include the reinstatement of Victorian style railings.
Events
Bristol's parks host hundreds of events each year from keynote festivals and performances in the city's magnificent green spaces, through sporting events and charity fundraisers, to smaller scale community events in local parks. Plants and wildlife
There are still plenty of fine mature trees and specimen plantings to enjoy, including London Planes and Limes, together with ornamental trees and shrubs in the lower area of the park, including Laurel, Holly and Box. Click here to find out more about wildlife in Bristol.
Play activities
The park has an unsupervised paddling pool for children (available for use in the Spring and Summer, from May Bank Holiday to 5 September). Call 0117 922 3719 to check whether the pool is open before making your visit.
There is also an enclosed dog-free childrens play area and a local group is fundraising for more play equipment.

Recreation
