Bristol Citywide Sustainable Energy Study

Sustainable Energy Study Cover

In December 2008 Bristol City Council commissioned a Citywide Energy Survey to look at opportunities and constraints in the city for renewable, sustainable and low carbon energy supply.  We are required to do this by DCLG, in order to have a sound evidence base for planning policies relating to climate change and energy.

This survey has been carried out by the Centre for Sustainable Energy, and is now published. The survey considers technical and physical issues, and does not constitute planning policy, nor does it make proposals for the location of any installations.  Such proposals will be clearly set out in Bristol Development Framework documents.

The Study report was completed in June 2009. Please phone 0117 903 6693 or e-mail bdf@bristol.gov.uk, if you have any questions regarding this report.

Please Note: this is an amended version of the report updated on the 12 June 2009, a list of the amendments made, is available to download via the related documents below.
