Mini recycling centre bins

Mini Recycling Centres

Mini Recycling Centres (MRCs) are usually placed at the bottom of blocks of flats or in households not suitable for the black box scheme

They are made up of 6 large wheelie bins that take the following:

  • Glass bottles and jars (rinse out and place the lids with your cans)
  • Newspapers and magazines (including catalogues, junkmail and leaflets)
  • Food and drinks cans (please remove lids and rinse)
  • Aluminium foil and containers

There are over 410 Mini Recycling Centres in Bristol which help over 25,269 households to recycle.

If you live in a block of flats and you would like to request a Mini Recycling Centre please complete the form below. Alternatively, you can contact our Customer Services Centre on 0117 922 2100.

Please supply the contact details of your landlord / property management company / caretaker - so that we can ask their permission to put in a Mini Recycling Centre

Thank you for filling in this form. Your request has been added to the Mini Recycling Centre request list. When your request reaches the top of the list, you will be contacted in order to arrange a site visit to see if your location is suitable. After this site visit, and if the site is suitable, a Mini Recycling Centre should be installed within four weeks of the visit.

Please note that a Mini Recycling Centre will not be installed until a site visit has been completed. At the present time, there are over 100 sites requesting a Mini Recycling Centre, and we would hope to do a site visit within three months of a request being made.
