The Environment team is responsible for improving the environmental performance of the city. Its principal programmes of work are:

• air environment
• water environments
• environmental performance of the council
  

The Sustainability team aims to improve the sustainability of Bristol. Its principal programmes of work are:

• climate change and the built environment
• quality of life
• sustainable communities

The CREATE team runs the CREATE Centre as a focal point for environment and sustainable development activity in Bristol and beyond. Events, exhibitions, talks and educational activities demonstrate how everyone can improve their quality of life and save the planet’s resources. Email: create@bristol.gov.uk

The teams work with a wide range of council departments, public sector bodies, voluntary and community sector groups and private companies.
