Introduction

Bristol's Council House is a unique and dignified civic centre, completed in the 1950s, facing a small park on an ancient and peaceful corner of Bristol's old city and opposite its beautiful cathedral. The Council House has 11 rooms available for hire.

Bristol's Council House is conveniently situated only a minute walk from Bristol's Centre Promenade and cathedral, and close to many of the city's major attractions, university and stunning redeveloped harbourside.

Conference Hall

This is the largest room in the building and is ideal for larger events, exhibitions, conferences, formal dinners, music and other cultural events. This room can accommodate up to 500 people in theatre style and 250 in banquet style.

Council Chamber

This room offers formality and splendour with its pews and dais. It is perfect for ceremonies, formal meetings, training and break-out spaces, and lectures and can accommodate up to 200 people.

Lord Mayor's Reception Room

This room has a luxurious feel, with walnut wood panelling and elegant furniture. This room can be used as a meeting room but is also ideal for wedding ceremonies. This room can accommodate up to 50 guests.

Committee rooms

The committee rooms are well suited to training sessions, seminars and syndicate rooms. Rooms can seat from 15 - 70 people.
