20mph Speed Limit Pilot Areas

Results of 20mph pilot areas Public Engagement process

20mph sign

In September 2009 we asked residents, community groups and business organisations to tell us what they thought of our proposals to introduce 20mph speed limits in two pilot areas of the city at :

  • Inner East Bristol (Ashley, Easton, Eastville, Lawrence Hill and St George West) and
  • Inner South Bristol (Bedminster, Lawrence Hill, Southville and Windmill Hill)

We would like to thank everyone who took the time to respond to us, either by contacting the 20mph email address, by letter via our freepost address, phone call, or submitting views on the Ask Bristol discussion forum .

Read council press release regarding the results of the Public Engagement process.

The new proposals (maps are dated 11 November 2009) for each pilot area can be viewed below under the section Pilot area maps: Inner East Bristol; Inner South Bristol.
