Flyposting
Did you know
Advertisements pasted or attached to buildings, street lights, bus stops and other public structures is called flyposting.
Flyposting negatively affects the environment and is illegal.
The main reason for flyposting is to advertise for free avoiding the costs of maintaining or using a proper advertising site that has been given planning permission. By removing flyposting quickly it reduces the effectiveness.
What we can do
If we catch someone in the act of flyposting we will issue them with a Fixed Penalty Notice, which is a fine of £75.
We will issue legal notices to the promoting company or owner of the club to take the advertisements down.
If the advertisements are not taken down we will take legal action, which can result in a fine per each advertisement that is displayed illegally.
Please note: We will take legal action against any non payment of fines.
