Joint Local Transport Plan 2005/6 - 2010/11

The Joint Local Transport Plan (JLTP) published in July 2005, sets out the transport strategy for Bristol, South Gloucestershire, North Somerset and Bath & North East Somerset. It is also the means by which the four councils bid for government funding for transport improvements.

The JLTP sets out detailed plans and targets for transport over the period 2006 to 2011. Progress towards these targets is reported every July by Annual Progress Reports (APRs).

The West of England Partnership website provides more information about the JLTP and provides an opportunity to obtain a copy of the JLTP document, however a copy of the summary leaflet is available below under 'Related Documents'. Bristol Local Transport Plan 2001/2 - 2005/6

The first Local Transport Plans (LTPs) were produced by individual councils and were submitted to the government in July 2000. Bristol's Local Transport Plan covers the period 2001/2 to 2005/6 and was published in several volumes; a main document and appendices, plus a short summary document. Over this period, annual progress reports 2001-2005 reported progress.

All of these documents are available as downloadable pdf files below. A full download (8Mb) of  the Bristol Local Transport Plan 2000 appendices is available. Alternatively, a summary of the appendices contents can be viewed in the related documents section.
