Central Library update

Release Date:  16-Apr-2008

The Central Library first floor has re-opened. This includes the learning centre and Peoples’ Network computers, the reference library and the local history section.

The lift to the first floor is not yet working, so access to these services and the public toilet facilities is limited. There is, however, full access to the ground floor services via the west end entrance of the library.

The children's library will remain closed to members of the public, but a limited stock of children's materials is available for loan and arrangements have been made for the temporary provision for a small number of children's Peoples’ Network PCs in the lending area.
Normal opening hours will apply.

Further work on restoring the power supply and data cabling to the newer part of the building is still on-going and should be completed until early May.

All other Bristol Libraries remain open as normal and customers can access services online through these pages as well as use their library card at any branch. Peoples’ Network PCs are also available at all branches.

We apologise to our customers for the ongoing inconvenience.
