Ask The Leader in You-tube interview
Release Date: 06-Jan-2010
Bristol City Council’s draft budget proposals for 2010/11 have been released. You can read the proposals and give your views until the 18th January by visiting www.bristol.gov.uk/budgetconsultation
This year, in advance of the budget-setting meeting in February, we are trying something new to engage you in the budget setting process. We welcome any questions you may have on the draft budget proposals, particularly about the priorities of:
- spending money most efficiently and coping with cost pressures
- improving the environment and looking after your neighbourhood
- improving our high skilled future and promoting the city’s sustainable economic growth
- looking after the most vulnerable people in the city
The Leader of the Council, Cllr Barbara Janke will be responding to selected questions in a video broadcast for You-tube that will be recorded next week, so the questions and responses can be shared to help explain the priorities and budget setting process.
Please submit your questions by email to consultation@bristol.gov.uk by Friday 8th January.
We may not have time to respond to all questions, so a selection will be chosen based on the themes most people are interested. The leader’s video response will be available on www.youtube.com/bristolcitycouncil at the end of next week.
