Corporate Communications produces Our City - a news magazine delivered to every home in Bristol with news, features and events to help Bristol residents get the most out of the city and local public services.

About the Media and PR Team

The Media and Public Relations Team handles all media relations for Bristol City Council and are responsible for keeping the press, TV, radio, and web-based media up-to-date with news from the council. We are also the first point of contact for all journalists and work with reporters to try to help them ensure any stories about the council and its services are accurate and balanced.

Journalists requiring further information should contact the relevant Media and PR Officer where their details appear at the bottom of the news release - or call the main Media and Public Relations Team number on 0117 922 2650. Please note that this number is for media enquiries only.

You can also email corporate.communications@bristol.gov.uk with non-urgent enquiries.

Media Training

Bristol City Council is currently seeking a preferred provider to deliver media training sessions to its elected councillors and senior officers between June 1st 2009 and March 31st 2011.

Providers with appropriate experience are invited to submit bids in writing by April 24th 2009.
