Our job is to make Bristol safer for all citizens and visitors. As a partnership, we are responsible for co-ordinating actions which will tackle the adverse effects of crime and drugs on communities.

The Bristol crime* rate taken from 2003/4 to 2008/9 has now fallen by 29%.
*crime figure is based on British Crime Survey basket of crimes which are: Common Assault; Criminal Damage; Dwelling Burglary; Personal Robbery; Theft from a motor vehicle; Theft of a motor vehicle; Theft from Person; Theft of Pedal Cycle; Vehicle interference; Wounding.
We have the 2nd highest number of drug misusers in treatment in the country.
