Recycling, rubbish and waste

Line It, Scrape It, Lock It

We want to make it easy for residents in Bristol to recycle as much as they can.

All the information you need for dealing with your waste and recycling at home should be on these pages – so whether you’re looking for advice on home composting, need to know how to get rid of bulky pieces of furniture, or want to find a bottle bank for your plastics, it’s all here.

If you can’t find what you’re looking for, email your query to recycling@bristol.gov.uk or call our Customer Service Centre on 0117 922 2100 between 8.30am – 8.00pm Monday to Friday.

This summer we are launching our Line It Scrape It Lock It campaign to help make recycling your food waste a more pleasant experience during this warmer weather.

Click here and follow these simple steps to a cleaner, sweeter smelling bin.

Thank you to Bristol residents for recycling over 20,000 tonnes of food, garden waste and cardboard last year. With your help we aim to recycle even more this year.
