Disabled Travellers and Community Transport

Community Transport describes a range of transport provided by voluntary community based organisations to cater for local transport needs, which are not met by the commercial sector. Parking for Disabled Drivers 

To see whether you may be eligible for a Blue Badges and  for information about where Disabled Drivers can park, visit Parking Facilities for Disabled Drivers.

Concessionary Bus Fares

If you want to use the buses you may be eligible for a Bus Pass which will reduce the cost of your trip.

Bridges

Clifton Suspension Bridge - Those who receive the higher rate of the mobility component of the Disability Living allowance can obtain an annual ticket priced £5 from the Bridge Master, Clifton Suspension Bridge, Leigh Woods, Bristol, BS8 3PA, Tel: 0117 9732122.

Rail Travel

If you have a disability that makes travelling by train difficult you might qualify for the Disabled Persons Railcard. The Railcard allows you to get a 1/3 off most rail fares throughout Great Britain. For further details please visit the Disabled Persons Railcard website.
