There are lots of super attractions discover at Bristol's museums and historic houses. All for FREE!
Amazing art, dinosaurs, ancient Egyptians.....and Alfred the Gorilla [pictured on the right!] are just some of the highlights at Bristol's City Museum & Art Gallery where we tell the story of our world in every display, from the beginning of time to the present day. We are also running holiday activities every Monday and Wednesday during the summer holidays.
Or why not take a trip back in time and imagine what it must have been like to live in one of our historic houses in in times gone by - Blaise Castle House Museum, Red Lodge, Georgian House or Kings Weston Roman Villa are all waiting for you and your family to have a nose around and see how the other half lived hundreds of years ago.

Permanent gallery closure: From Autumn 2007 the South West Archaeology Gallery and the Bomford Glass Gallery will be closed to the public. Visit our archaeology pages for news of our exciting plans for these galleries.

City Museum & Art Gallery entrance: Access to the City Museum & Art Gallery is still restricted to the side automatic doors. We are working to replace the glass window as quickly as possible.
