Museum collections
Welcome to our collections pages. Bristol’s Museums, Galleries & Archives Service is home to millions of objects from all over the world, covering art, archaeology, geology and natural & social history.
Many objects are on display for visitors to enjoy for free. If they are not on display they are carefully stored behind the scenes at the Bristol's City Museum & Art Gallery, Blaise Castle House Museum, the Museum of Bristol site, the Georgian House, Red Lodge and the City Record Office or can be found on a database. The collections in store can be viewed by making an appointment with the appropriate curator, or look out for our public store-tours!
See individual collections below and find out more about our incredible world-class, national and regional objects we look after for the city, our stores and any new acquisitions.
