  1. Update the lighting in your home with energy saving light bulbs
  2. Insulate your home to make it cheaper and cosier
  3. Switch off appliances - don’t leave them on standby
  4. Put a water saving device in your toilet cistern
  5. Share car journeys wherever you can
  6. Cycle, walk or take public transport to replace car journeys at least once a week
  7. Buy locally grown, seasonal produce
  8. Boil only the water you need, instead of a full kettle every time
  9. Recycle more
  10. Take your own bag when you shop rather than plastic carriers
