The Six Book Challenge is targeted at emergent readers - adults who can read but have yet to build on that ability and gain reading experience. People are invited to read six books with both national and local incentives. The Challenge is run by the Reading Agency with sponsership from Costa Coffee. The National initiative will end on 31 May 2009. Last year's winner was a learner from Darlington who completed the Challenge to win the Costa prize of a trip to London, and a West End show! The initiative will continue locally, into October, with more prizes available in November. Explore Six Book Challenge website link below and stay in touch with your library as the Challenge develops.
