Peak oil describes the point at which the amount of oil produced globally in a single year reaches its absolute maximum. From this point onward the amount of oil produced will decline. Increasingly oil will come from more difficult sources, which along with scarcity will increase prices.
Our current way of life relies on the availability of an abundant supply of cheap oil.
This exhibition shows how many groups and projects in Bristol are already exploring ways of getting the best out of life in a less oil intensive world. Come and be inspired to join in.

Author and dance historian Wendy Buonaventura looks back to the less-enlightened times when the Can-Can, Tango and Waltz were thought subversive and the dancers themselves considered little better than prostitutes. She draws from her acclaimed books on the subject, including 'I Put a Spell on You', a social history of dance, and 'Midnight Rose', a fictionalised account of the life of daring and controversial Edwardian dancer Maud Allen.
