Bristol Museum and Art Gallery

Bristol Museum and Art Gallery provides an elegant setting for entertaining on a grand or an intimate scale, in the heart of the city. The Wills and Winterstoke halls on the ground floor are the main spaces available for hire; along with the ground floor galleries, containing a range of temporary exhibitions and permanent displays.

We can offer your guests a unique experience, by tailoring a package to suit your individual event needs.

Winterstoke Hall

The impressive Winterstoke Hall creates an immediate impact on arrival and is the ideal setting to host a champagne reception or pre-dinner drinks. Guests can also enjoy a special private view of the Egypt gallery.

Wills Hall

The Wills Hall provides a grand setting for drinks receptions, seated dinners or breakfasts, and for theatre style events. The high glass roof, arched balconies, grand staircase and marble floor make a magnificent backdrop for any event. It is a flexible space that can be used to host large or small events. The adjacent exhibition gallery offers your guests the opportunity to enjoy a private view of our exhibitions.

Exhibition Gallery

The museum has an exciting programme of temporary and touring exhibitions. These include fine art, installation and photography, all shown in this flexible gallery space.

Egypt Gallery

This modern state of the art gallery showcases one of the best collections of Egyptian artefacts in the country, with interesting, attractive displays and interactive screens.

Café

By day a bright and attractive café, that can be transformed by night into an intimate room for entertaining.

Our expert staff share a wealth of knowledge and enthusiasm about our collections and exhibitions.  From fine art to local history, egyptology to archaeology, we can arrange informative and entertaining talks and tours for your guests on request.

The Red Lodge Museum
