Planning application number 09/02242/P
In July 2009 a planning application was submitted for a new 30,000 seat stadium and associated development including:
- housing
- restaurants/bars, and a hotel
The application site straddles the boundary between Bristol City Council and North Somerset Council. The main vehicular access to the B3128 (leading to the A370 Long Ashton bypass) falls within North Somerset and the majority of the development site falls within Bristol.
Committee meeting - February 10, 2010
A meeting of the Development Control (South and East) Committee was held on February 10, 2010. The committee decided to grant permission for the development, subject to the applicant entering into a planning agreement to cover matters including:
- the travel plan
- access proposals
- car parking arrangements and
- sustainable construction standards.
The agreement was signed and the planning permission issued on April 5, 2011.
The meeting was webcast - see http://www.bristol.public-i.tv/core/portal/home for more information. You can view the officer's report to the committee from the related documents section.
