Bristol's unique mix of history, culture and heritage has created a very diverse and vibrant city, made up of many different communities. The voluntary & community sector in Bristol is a reflection of this rich mix - Bristol boasts more than 1,500 different voluntary and social economy organisations.
Bristol also boasts more than 250 community buildings that are managed by and for local communities. All are run and managed by voluntary groups and organisations, independently from Bristol City Council. Between them, they offer a wide range of activities and facilities, including some of the best value and most comfortable rooms for hire, affordable spaces for activities, events, shows, arts productions or private parties. Some also have a bar, a café, a skittle alley or snooker tables. There is bound to be one near you.
