Customer Service News

On Wednesday 19 June 2013 our Customer Service Centre will not open until 1 pm. This is due to upgrades to our IT systems. If you have an urgent enquiry you can visit our Customer Service Points at Fishponds, Hartcliffe, Phoenix Court and Southmead which will be open from 9am (this Wednesday only).

On Wednesday 26 June 2013 all our Customer Service Points will be closed until 1pm. This is due to IT upgrades and staff training. Our Customer Service Centre will be open for telephone calls as usual.

Our Customer Service Points

If you prefer to access council services in person, you can visit any Customer Service Point (CSP) across Bristol.

At a CSP you can pay council tax and rent bills , discuss tenancy issues, hand in documents that have been requested, report a noise complaint or antisocial behaviour, apply for concessionary travelcard or blue badge and much more.

Telephone interpreters

We are committed to ensuring everyone can access council services. If English is not your first language, staff at our Customer Service Points can provide instant access to independent interpreters over the phone, who can answer your queries in your own language.

Library surgeries

Library surgeries are available at:

Bedminster Library, St Peter's Court, Bristol, BS3 4AQ
Mondays and Fridays: 9.30am to 1pm, and 2pm to 4.30pm.

Knowle Library, 1st floor, Broadwalk Shopping Centre, Bristol, BS4 2QU
Tuesdays and Thursdays: 9.30am to 1pm, and 2pm to 4.30pm

Filwood Library, Filwood Broadway, Bristol,BS4 1JN
Wednesdays: 10.30am to 1pm, and 2pm to 4.30pm

All surgeries close between 1 and 2pm.

We are able to provide:

Benefits advice
Rent management advice
Home Choice Bristol advice and bidding
Photocopying of documents for above services
Blue Badge and TravelCard applications
Self service point for Internet access (Bedminster Library only)

All the above libraries have a freephone to council services.

Please note we are unable to take any form of payment at surgeries (except payment for Blue Badge in the form of cheques or postal orders).

Alternatively you can pay online, via telephone, PayPoints or at Customer Service Points across the city.

Self Service Points

If you, or someone you know do not have your own computer, you can access a number of our key services online at a Self Service Point.

Self Service Points are computer kiosks connecting you to the council free of charge. You can make automated payments, applications and requests, and browse the council website.

Self Service Points are available in all of the Customer Service Points and at some other locations listed below.
