What is the Everyone Active discount card?

The Everyone Active discount card is a free card for customers eligible for concessionary rates. The card saves you money at all Everyone Active centres and pools in Bristol.

Please note - it is no longer possible for customers who do not qualify for concessions to purchase an Everyone Active discount card. Existing card holders will continue to receive discounts until their current card expires but will not be able to renew it.

Who can get a concession?

The table below will tell you whether you are eligible for an Everyone Active discount card. If you receive a benefit not on this list and have proof, you may still be eligible. To check your eligibility, please call your local Everyone Active centre or pool.

Concession Proof required
In receipt of benefit Award letter for: council tax/housing benefit, job seekers allowance, income support or carer's allowance.
This needs to be renewed every six months. Proof of eligibility will be required each time.
Disabled  Allowance book, letter of entitlement from Benefits Agency.
Student (over 16 living or studying in Bristol) Confirmation of full-time student status form will be available from any leisure/sports centre or you can download: student confirmation form (pdf, 106 KB) (opens new window) and must be stamped by school/college/university. NUS cards not accepted. Proof of Bristol residency required if studying outside of Bristol.
This needs to be renewed every six months. Proof of eligibility will be required each time.
Aged 60 or over  State pension book or award letter, driving licence or birth certificate.
Foster Carer/Care Leaver  Bristol City Council fostering allowance documents or council confirmation letter of foster carer/care leaver status.

*Require renewal every six months. Proof of eligibility will be required.

The above categories include unwaged dependants (written proof will be required). Separate proof of identity is also required for each category.

Where and how do I get my card?

Please visit your nearest Everyone Active Centre to sign up for your Everyone Active discount card. You will need to show proof of address and proof of concessionary status. 

What is proof of address?

  • Proof required to show you live in Bristol.
  • When applying for an Everyone Active dscount card you will need to produce one of the following:
    • Bristol City Council tax form
    • electoral register form
    • utility bill
    • bank statement
    • driving licence
    • plus separate proof of identity and proof of concessionary status

You can apply at any of the following centres

Your photograph will be taken at the centre or pool when your card is issued for identification purposes.

Renewing your card/lost card

  • If your Everyone Active discount card has expired, or you have lost your card, you will need to take proof of address and concession to any Everyone Active centre or pool.
  • If you still have your existing card make sure you take it with you when renewing your membership, as there is a £2 replacement fee for lost cards.
