Bristol schools’ festive musical treats

Bristol schools have a busy schedule of musical events lined up for the festive season.

Supported by our Arts and Music service the following concerts are open to the public to enjoy:

Saturday, December 1: Bristol Junior School Orchestra at St Albans Church, Henleaze from 7.30pm. Featuring sessions from all the junior string groups.

Sunday, December 2: Senior Centre Concerts at the Victoria Rooms, Bristol University from 6pm. Featuring junior groups, the senior band and the Schools’ Philharmonia. The programme will include Beethoven’s 5th Symphony.

Sunday, December 2: South Bristol Music Centre concert from 3pm at the Monica Wills House, Cromwell Street, Bedminster. Christmas concert and tea party.

Sunday, December 9: Bristol Schools’ Chamber Choir at St George’s from 7:30pm. Advance tickets available from the box office. Traditional and modern celebratory seasonal music.
