Reusable nappies

If you have a child in nappies, consider using reusable ones.  They are a great alternative to disposables.

Reusable nappies come in bright, funky colours with easy fastenings like Velcro and poppers.  No need to worry about safety pins and soaking, they are a thing of the past. Local laundering services can collect and deliver nappies so you don't even have to worry about washing.

Disposable nappies are a growing environmental problem. They can double the waste produced by households with babies, and their mix of plastics and chemicals means they will remain in landfill for an estimated 500 years before breaking down.

Currently about eight million disposable nappies are thrown away every day in the UK.

Withdrawal of reusable nappy voucher scheme

Following a change to our recycling and waste services contract we have withdrawn our voucher scheme. This is in line with the terms and conditions of the voucher.
