Preferred approach
We are currently consulting on the preferred approach stage of the site allocations and development management document. The document forms part of the local development framework and will help deliver the policies of the core strategy.
The document identifies our preferred approach to sites across Bristol for development, to provide new homes, jobs, shops and community uses; safeguarding sites for important uses such as open space and transport infrastructure; and setting out detailed policies that we will use when deciding whether to grant planning permission. The preferred approach document follows on from the options document which was consulted on between June and October 2010.
Sites within the Knowle West Regeneration Framework are included in the preferred approach document. Further information about the regeneration framework can be found on the Knowle West regeneration framework pages.
The consultation period is from 23 March until 5pm on 18 May 2012.
