Have you been inspired by a coach or sports professional? Would you like to lead sports sessions and motivate others to excel in sport?
If you are interested in becoming a sports coach, but have no previous experience or if you would like to further your coaching skills Sports Coach UK and Sports Leaders UK may be able to help.
There are a wide variety of sports courses available to you. Depending on your age, professional experience and sporting expertise, the right mix of educational training can help you gain the qualifications to lead sessions independently. Please visit our Sports Coaching Courses pages for more information and advice on the sports coaching courses we run. Our qualifications offer a brilliant way to get started as a coach and provide a pathway to becoming a Level 2 qualified coach.
Do you have already have a coaching qualification? Why not register with CoachWest, a database ran by Wesport for coaches to upload information on skills, experience and qualifications. Employers and organisations use the facility to find coaches and advertise positions that become available. The website is also regularly updated with coach qualification opportunities in the local area.
If you are a sports coach or personal trainer and are looking to run training sessions in one of Bristol's many parks, please read the information on the personal training in parks permits page to ensure you are complying with the current licensing requirements.
Sportivate provides funding to sports coaches to deliver 6 week blocks of coaching for 14 to 25 year olds.
