Museums

Why not visit one of Bristol's fascinating museums and see our current exhibitions or come to one of our special events. 

Handle real Egyptian objects and explore on a store tour at our Ancient Egypt Family Discovery Day on Wed 29 May at Bristol Museum & Art Gallery, or head over to Kings Weston Roman Villa to learn how to Dress Like a Roman on Fri 31 May!

Head to Pharaoh: King of Egypt this half term and get a family ticket for £10. Or if you're in the mood to explore the whole museum, why not hire one of our Family Explorer Kits.

Take a ride on M Shed's boats, cranes and trains
The historic harbourside exhibits are ready for trips during the school holidays.

Sail on the Mayflower for stunning views of Bristol’s harbourside, be transported back to the days of steam with a ride along the dockside on the Henbury Steam Locomotive or be lifted up by the historical industrial cranes. Buy tickets on-board on the day. View timetables on the M shed webiste.

Bristol's Historic Houses

Now open for the summer season.  Visit Bristol's 'hidden treasure' The Red Lodge Museum with it's magnificent Tudor rooms and Elizabethan-style knot garden this summer or visit The Georgian House Museum to see how a typical late 18th-century town house was furnished and displayed.

Activities for young people aged 13 to 19
