Retail business advice workshop
Release date:
Mon, 01/10/2012
Thinking about setting up a retail business? Bristol City Council have recently worked with businesses and support organisations to produce a toolkit on establishing an independent retail business, see www.bristol.gov.uk/retail.
A workshop to talk people through the toolkit and the support available (including business planning, market research, finance, business rates, planning etc) will be held in Bedminster from 6pm to 7.30pm on 9 October 2012.
There will also be a short presentation on the work of the Bedminster Town Team, see www.bedminstertownteam.org.
Cllr Guy Poultney, Cabinet Member for Communities, said: "Bristol has some thriving high streets and markets but we're keen to support their growth in communities across the city. This is why we've backed the Bristol Pound and are supporting Bedminster's Town Team project. This excellent toolkit and workshop should provide further practical advice for those wanting to start up their own retail business."
Please register your interest in attending by emailing retail@bristol.gov.uk and follow Twitter @ShopLocalBris for information on other initiatives.
