We are updating our website with the latest school closure information - this is being updated regularly over the next few days in the run-up when we are informed by schools and colleges - www.bristol.gov.uk/schoolclosures
Contacting the council - all our public help line numbers will be operating with minimum cover through our customer service centre, although please be patient or leave a message and staff will respond as soon as possible. Customer service points are likely to be closed.
Refuse collections will continue as scheduled.
Road closure information: one of the largest marches and rallies in the region is planned for the city centre. Numbers estimated are in the 5,000-10,000 range. The march will start at College Green and ends at Castle Park. Park Street will be closed for 10.45am - procession due to move away at 11.30 - so closure will remain in place until around 12 noon or until the procession has moved away. Delays are to be expected on the parade route, but no further closures are planned. The march is due to last an hour.
