Advice for students on keeping safe in Bristol
Bristol is a great and safe city in which to live, study, work and play. But it's best to think safe and be safe.
Although burglary incidents are down, it is students and other young group flat or house tenants that are particularly vulnerable.
The Safer Bristol partnership is therefore giving the following advice to make sure you keep yourself and your things safe.
“With students coming to Uni with new laptops, mobile phones and other expensive things that are easy to steal and sell, we want them to be aware of simple things they can do to keep safe”, said Cllr Gary Hopkins, Cabinet Members for Community Safety.
“The advice is simple but it’s vital that everyone sharing a house or flat follows it or every occupant is vulnerable. ”.
Advice

· Lock your room, flat and the building’s front door.

· If you’ve moved to a new place ask the landlord to fit a new door lock as other people may have keys.
