Anyone wanting to have a say in Bristol’s November elections needs to be on the electoral register. And now, with just under 100 days to go and in a bid to ensure everyone eligible has a say, the city council is stepping up its annual canvass campaign to reach out to those who haven’t yet registered.
Reminder electoral registration form letters are being sent out to over 100,000 households across the city. Every household must return a completed registration form - and registration is easy:
If there are no changes to your form use the internet or freephone registration:

If there are changes to your form make these on your form, sign it and return it as soon as possible. Please make sure every eligible voter at your address appears on this form.
“As of August 1, 109,641 households with eligible voters in the city have already registered to vote in the Mayoral and Police and Crime Commissioner elections, which take place on Thursday, November 15,” says Yvonne Dawes, Bristol’s statutory services manager. “This figure represents 57 per cent of the households with eligible adults on the electoral roll……but that also means, an estimated 43 per cent of households have still to register.
“Having a vote in November’s elections will shape Bristol’s future. Now is the time to make sure your name appears on the electoral roll, so don’t delay, just confirm your registration details with us as soon as possible.”
