Come and join in the national Everyone Active Day - in Bristol
Release date:
Wed, 04/07/2012
Bristol residents are invited to visit a local Everyone Active-run leisure centre on Saturday, July 7 and take part in a sporting activity as part of a free, national activity day. The activities start from 9am and run throughout the day.
The one-day event has been organised by leisure providers Everyone Active, and will see Easton, Henbury, Horfield, Kingsdown, St Pauls leisure centres and Bristol South swimming pool offering free activities in pools, sports halls, gyms and outdoor spaces during the day.
This national Everyone Active day aims to get thousands of people across the UK involved in fitness fun - all on the same day - to see for themselves the benefits physical activity can bring.
Commenting on the day, Gary Teagle, Bristol Contract Manager, said: “What we want to do is show local people who live close to one of our centres the fantastic range of activities on offer with Everyone Active. The national Everyone Active day is a way of opening our doors up to people who don’t currently use our centres or let those who do, try something new.”
The majority of activities and taster sessions on the day will be provided free of charge although some may need to be booked in advance due to popularity and restricted numbers.
Please contact your local leisure centre for programme details and timings or visit our Everyone active day page.
