What the South Bristol Talent Pathway is, who it's for and how to get involved.
The South Bristol Talent Pathway Project (SBTaPP) supports Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises (SMEs) in south Bristol to help them develop their workforce and grow their business.
Through SBTaPP, local SMEs will produce targeted action plans to build their business. They'll be given help to:
- look at their priorities
- link up with relevant business support services
These services range from apprenticeships, help with recruitment and retention through to skills training.
South Bristol businesses funding
SBTaPP can also provide funding for south Bristol businesses of up to £125 per week, if they can offer work experience to members of the local community.
To qualify for this funding, businesses will need to:
- support the person doing work experience to find employment, receive training or gain qualifications
- be health and safety compliant
- provide applicants with reasonable expenses for transport and food
Supporting Bristol WORKS
SBTaPP supports Bristol WORKS in its aim to create a skilled workforce for the future, helping to provide meaningful opportunities that meet the needs of young people aged 14 to 18 years old.
Bristol WORKS is a city-wide collaboration between:
- employers
- learning providers
- local communities
SBTaPP works alongside Bristol WORKS, to help to bring south Bristol businesses and young people together.

Workforce for the Future
SBTaPP is part of the Workforce for the Future programme, which is a free support service for businesses and individuals in the West of England.
It helps businesses develop employees' skills and supports local residents to upskill and improve their career prospects.
