How the Bristol Youth Vote works, when the voting period is, and see the candidate manifestos.

In January 2024 young people in schools, colleges and youth centres across Bristol voted in the members of Bristol City Youth Council for a two year term of office.

How the Bristol Youth Vote 2024 works

For the youth vote, Bristol is divided into three areas North, South and East Central.

Each area will vote and elect their Bristol City Youth Council (BCYC) representatives. The young people that are voted in will represent views and opinions of young people of Bristol.

They will work closely with young people across Bristol to ensure their views are heard by adult decision makers, and also influence policy decisions they make. This is called the Bristol Youth Vote 2024.

We are asking Schools and youth organisations to display the pdf Bristol Youth Vote 2024 voting poster (1.03 MB) .

Voting period

The voting period for the Bristol Youth Vote will be from Monday 15 January to Friday 26 January 2024.

Details of how to run the election in your school, youth organisation can be found in the pdf Bristol Vote guidance booklet (166 KB)
