Bristol libraries Call and Collect
How call and collect works, opening times and contact details
All libraries will be closed:
- Monday, 3 May
- Monday, 31 May
You can use the Call and Collect service to reserve or borrow books at:
- Bishopston Library
- Fishponds Library
- Marksbury Road Library
How Call and Collect works
- Call or email the library you wish to collect your books from, to ask for up to 5 items for each adult, and up to 8 items for each under 18 year old
- You can ask for specific items. Or, if you tell us what type of books you like to read (favourite authors, genres, subject areas), and how many you’d like, we can make selections for you
- We’ll issue the items to your library account and put them in a washable and reusable bag
- We’ll let you know when your items are ready to collect
- You can leave any items you don’t want to take home
- You can then bring your books back in the same bag when you are finished, and it will be placed into quarantine
We can only provide items that are in stock and on the shelf at the library you call. You can check the online library catalogue to find out what’s in stock at a library. You can still reserve books that are available at other open libraries.
