Events

Light Up Bristol

An illuminated walk around Ashton Court Estate that will take you about 50 minutes with lighting features from local artists. 

When

Friday 19 November to Friday 24 December 2021, 4:30pm to 8:30pm every day.

Bookings

Prices start at £12, free for under 3.

Before you visit

Visitors 16 and over must provide proof of vaccination or a negative lateral flow test result taken 24 hours before the event. Order rapid lateral flow tests (GOV.UK).

Only guide dogs are permitted.

Access

Taxi pick-up and drop off parking bays are available.

There’s no access to Light Up Bristol via Abbots Leigh Road.

The Mansion House car park is available for Light Up Bristol customers only from 4:30pm to 11pm.

Santas on the Run Bristol 2021

A 2k charity run to raise money for Children’s Hospice South West.

When

Sunday 5 December 2021, 1pm to 3pm.

Bookings

Tickets cost:

  • £10 for adults
  • £5 for children, free for under 2

Under 16 must take part with an adult and must stay with them throughout the run.

This year to reduce the environmental impact of single use Santa suits, this year the organisers are asking participants to re-use costumes or create their own.

Contact the organisers if you need to bring a pushchair, wheelchair or have accessibility requirements. 

Call 01275 866 600 to register a named carer for free if you’re disabled and need assistance.

Arts Mansion

Artspace Lifespace are organising events throughout the festive period in the Mansion House, including the Father Christmas Experience and Winter Warmers events. 

Getting there

If you plan to walk there when it gets dark, avoid wearing dark clothing and remember to bring a torch. 

If you plan to cycle, make sure your bike has light reflectors and at least one light at the front and back.
