Introduction

The Mansion House

Welcome to The Mansion House, the official residence of the Lord Mayor of Bristol, set in the heart of prestigious Clifton.

The Mansion House has been licenced for weddings and public functions since 1990. Gifted to the council in 1874, The Mansion House integrates the romance and grandeur of the Victorian era with the luxury and service you would expect from the Official Residence of the Lord Mayor of Bristol.

With its large airy rooms, beautiful gardens and a reputation for good service and quality, it has become one of Bristol's premier business and wedding venues.

What our location offers

The Mansion House offers a choice of 5 Victorian styled rooms and a conservatory. On the ground floor, the elegant and airy drawing room is licenced for wedding ceremonies. For a larger event, the impressive dining room can seat 100, 'theatre style' for corporate events and 100 when dining.

Maximum 40 – 50 people in first floor rooms.

The drawing room is 65’ x 18’ - maximum capacity of 90 persons seated 'theatre style' or drinks reception 100 standing.

The dining room is 65 'x 18' - can seat 100 'theatre style', or if dining can accommodate gatherings up to 48 on a long oak table in a formal style or up to 100, on round tables (10 to a table) in an informal setting.
