Greater Fishponds Neighbourhood Forums

Neighbourhood Forum meetings are open public meetings. There are three Neighbourhood Forums in Greater Fishponds:

  • Eastville Neighboruhood Forum
  • Frome Vale Neighbourhood Forum and
  • Hillfields Neighbourhood Forum.

Each forum has four open public meetings a year.

Forum meetings present an opportunity for local residents to:

  • raise issues
  • meet local residents, community/voluntary groups, councillors and public agency representatives and
  • find out about other activities that are taking place in the neighbourhood.

Future meetings

There are currently no further scheduled meetings managed by Council officers.

This is because of the cuts that have been announced following the Council's budget being set, which will end the Neighbourhood Partnerships as a Council supported service.

Members of the Neighbourhood Forum for all the wards in the partnership have agreed  to use Facebook pages to keep each other informed of what’s happening locally.

What’s next?

We are inviting anyone in Eastville, Hillfields and Fromvale to think about how they as a community would like to maintain a relationship with the local authorities going forward.

Already there is a lot of support for local networking and a regular public gathering of some kind, but this might differ depending on the three areas.

If you are interested to know more or to have your say in how you can shape future arrangements, please contact Abdulrazak Dahir
