It provides a UK Freephone Actionline for people affected by homophobia, giving callers the opportunity to be heard and offered help and support. Bristol Families and Friends is a support group based in Bristol and serving the west run by/for families and friends of lesbians, gay men and bisexual women and men. It provides an opportunity for people to explore issues and share experiences, as well as fears, in a safe place. It meets on the 3rd Wednesday of each month at the Terrence Higgins Trust.

LGBT Bristol is a charity and is run by a management committee made up of members from the Bristol LGBT communities. They take issues that members raise and work with institutions, like the local authority, health service, police, fire service, to represent lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender concerns and interests. They also hold community events, musical and social evenings with speakers on topical subjects. They are always looking for new members, volunteers and management committee members.

LGCM is a national organisation that seeks to bring gay liberation to the church(es) and expound Christianity in the LGBT community. The Bristol branch is recognised by the national movement and welcomes enquiries. The local group is run by lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people and seeks to support lesbian and gay Christians in their churches. Meetings are held at least monthly and comprise a range of discussions, worship and social activities.

Freedom Youth Group
Freedom is Bristol’s longest running LGBTQ+ youth group.
We've groups for those aged 13-19 and 19-25. Freedom is a fun, safe, social space for LGBTQ+ young people to meet each other, discuss issues important to them and have their voices heard.
