About the Imagination Fund

The Imagination Fund is the 2 year fund in the pdf Cultural Investment Programme 2023 to 2027 (1.43 MB)

Through the Imagination Fund, we'll support Bristol based arts organisations that can help us achieve our Cultural Investment Programme 2023 to 2027 aims, guiding principle and overall vision.

There will be two rounds of the Imagination Fund.

The Imagination 2023 to 2025 Fund closed to applications in June 2022.

The Imagination 2025 to 2027 Fund will open in 2024.

Imagination 2023 to 2025 funding is for:

  • arts or culture projects, events or festivals that will take place April 2023 to March 2025, or
  • unrestricted funding for 2 years, from April 2023 to March 2025

You can use unrestricted grants for anything that will help achieve your organisations mission.

This could include: 

  • salaries
  • running costs, such as rent
  • programme delivery costs

Apply to the Imagination Fund

The Imagination Fund 2023 to 2027 has now closed to applications.

What happens next 

We'll let applicants know if their application has been recommended for funding in September 2022.

Cabinet will consider these recommendations in December 2022.

We'll make formal grant offers in December 2022.
