What we’re doing to protect you from COVID-19 in the buildings we own.
This guidance and rules apply to all buildings we own that members of the public aged 16 or over can access.
What we’re doing
Where possible, we have these measures in place for your safety:
- clear signs asking visitors to check in to the venue using the NHS COVID-19 app or record their contact details for track and trace
- social distancing of one metre
- encourage wearing of face masks, apart from when drinking and eating or during a meeting
- frequent cleaning of all surfaces and good ventilation throughout
What to do when attending a council meeting, event, or hiring a facility
Any person aged 16 or over attending a council meeting, event, or hiring of a facility, must produce one of the following:
- certification of a negative NHS COVID-19 lateral flow (rapid) test result taken in the 48 hours before attending, this can be in a text message or email from NHS Test and Trace
- an NHS COVID-19 Pass (NHS.CO.UK) which confirms double COVID-19 vaccination received at least 2 weeks before attending the event via the NHS App, a vaccination card is not enough
- proof of natural immunity to COVID-19 (a positive NHS PCR test in the last 180 days) via the NHS COVID-19 pass on the NHS App
- proof of a negative lateral flow (rapid) test taken 48 hours before attendance, demonstrated via a text message or email, for visitors from outside the UK
You should stay at home and not attend our events or venues if you have:
- any of the main symptoms of COVID-19
- tested positive for COVID-19
