What to do if you find it difficult to prepare a hot main meal for yourself.

If you are able to heat a prepared meal there are a range of microwaveable options from local supermarkets and other suppliers.

Hot meal deliveries

Bristol Community Meals delivers freshly cooked hot meals between 11am and 2pm every day, 365 days a year.

You can also choose to have breakfast, tea time meals, snacks, grocery packs or hospital discharge packs delivered at the same time.

Who can use Bristol Community Meals

Anyone can ask to receive a hot meal. You don’t need a referral from social services or your doctor. You can arrange meals yourself or for a friend, relative or neighbour.

From 1 December 2017 a self-referral application may incur VAT. To check whether you will need to pay VAT on your referral please contact 0117 903 1522.

How it works:

  1. Use our online form or call us on 0117 903 1522.  You can request a meals list and our brochure (pdf, 406k) (opens new window) .
  2. place your order
  3. meals are delivered by a friendly driver who will also check you’re safe, well and able to be independent
  4. we’ll send you, or the person paying, a monthly invoice

We have a wide choice of high quality, nutritious and freshly cooked food as well as a few treats!

The menu has options suitable for different diets, including:
