Information about the recommissioning and review of Advocacy services.
We have now completed the recommissioning the Advocacy services.
Outcomes of tender
Delays in the Tender period were due to due-diligence checks being undertaken. This means the contract start date and implementation period have been updated.

- Consultation you said, we did report (pdf, 497KB) (opens new window)
The specific services included in this round of recommissioning were:
Lot 1: Independent Care Act Advocacy (ICAA)
Outcome of Tender: SWAN were successful
Lot 2: Independent Mental Health Advocacy (IMHA), Independent Mental Capacity Advocacy (IMCA), Care Management Advocacy Project (CMAP), BME Advocacy Outreach Advocacy, In-patient Advocacy
Outcome for Tender: We have decided not to award a Contract for Lot 2 as the Directorate is moving towards commissioning its services on a more devolved locality basis.
This means that we will be focusing our approach towards localised models of provision where organisations can demonstrate high social value and a significant community presence. We are particularly interested in new models of provision with a high user focus and where use of local assets is integral to the offer.
Lot 3: NHS and Social Care and Complaints Procedure Advocacy (IHCCAS)
Outcome of Tender: SEAP were successful.
