Election Timetable for electoral registration

  • Deadline to receive applications to vote by post: Tuesday 26 November at 5pm
  • Deadline to receive applications to amend an existing proxy vote: Tuesday 26 November at 5pm
  • Deadline to register to vote: Tuesday 26 November at midnight
  • Deadline to receive new applications to vote by proxy: Wednesday 4 December at 5pm

You can register online to vote at this election.  If you’re already registered to vote you don't need to register again. 

If you're a student you're able to register both at your term time university and home address. You're only allowed to vote once at a national election. 

If you're away on polling day you can apply to vote by post or arrange for someone else to vote on your behalf and vote by proxy
