Consultation on commissioning the SENDIAS Service
Take part in the consultation on recommissioning the SENDIAS Service
What we’re consulting on, the aim of the survey and what we’ll do after the consultation
We must provide information advice and support about special educational needs and disability (SEND), health and social care for children, young people and parents.
We give this support through the SEND Information, Advice and Support (SENDIAS) Service.
The SENDIAS Service recommissioning consultation
We’re consulting on who provides Bristol’s SENDIAS Service with Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG).
We’re doing this because we need to meet the new national minimum standards for information, advice and support (IASS). These were finalised in September 2018 and are based on the:
- SEND Code
- IASS Quality Standards (which they now replace)
Give us your views
We’d like to know what you think about our proposals.
The consultation is open until 8 January 2019.
What happens after the consultation
What you tell us will shape the way we commission the SENDIAS Service.
We’ll publish the results of the survey and tell you how it has influenced our proposals in March 2019.
